Just hours after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong told a London concert crowd he planned to renounce his U.S. citizenship. Outraged by the ruling, Armstrong called the U.S. “miserable” and said he might relocate to the U.K. Despite his comments, Green Day later performed in the U.S. and plans to tour South America. Onstage, Armstrong reaffirmed his stance, saying, “F*** the Supreme Court and America,” before performing “American Idiot.” Fellow artist Billie Eilish also condemned the decision, calling it a dark day for women’s rights.
