Hot mic catches Trump’s words before Zelenskyy was removed from Oval Office

A hot mic recorded the final moments of a tense argument between Presidents Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy during their high-stakes Oval Office meeting. Intended to discuss peace in
Ukraine, the talks quickly turned hostile, with Vice President JD Vance pressing Zelenskyy to thank the US for its support.

Zelenskyy pushed back, inviting Vance to visit Ukraine and warning that war’s impact could reach the US in the future. Trump, visibly frustrated, raised his voice, insisting he was “trying to solve a problem.” The argument played out publicly, shocking the world and raising concerns that Vladimir Putin was the only beneficiary of the discord.

After the heated exchange, Trump ordered Zelenskyy’s delegation escorted to the Roosevelt Room before their removal from the White House. In the aftermath, Trump halted all US military aid to Ukraine, citing the need to ensure it contributes to peace.
