Siamese twins Zita and Gita were born joined at the pelvis, sharing a third leg, reproductive organs, and intestines. Despite their close bond, they longed for independence.At age 11, surgeons performed a risky 12-hour operation to separate them and remove the third leg. The surgery was successful, and both girls began new lives with prosthetics, pursuing studies and creative hobbies.
