Rep. LaMonica McIver, 38, of New Jersey, appeared in court Wednesday on federal charges of assaulting ICE agents. She was ordered to surrender her firearms and stay in the U.S. until her June 11 hearing. McIver, who faces up to 8 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, claims the charges are racially motivated and is fundraising to fight them.
