In a tragic incident that has deeply affected the community of Hurricane, Utah, 4-year-old Kache Wallis was found dead inside a small toy chest in his bedroom after being reported missing. Authorities confirmed the cause of death as accidental positional asphyxiation.
Kache had been put to bed the night before, but was discovered missing the next morning by his grandmother, prompting a widespread search. Sadly, he was later found lifeless in the toy chest during a second search of the home.
The heartbreaking accident has prompted renewed calls for increased child safety measures in the home. The Hurricane Police Department and the local community have expressed their deepest condolences to the Wallis family as they mourn the devastating loss of young Kache.
