Comedian Tony Knight, 54, tragically lost his life last month during the Rock & Cars festival in Lavaur, France. A large tree branch fell, striking Tony and several others. Despite being fit, healthy, and happy, Tony was the only one fatally injured, according to French media.
Loved for his charm, humor, and deep passion for life, Tony was mourned by many across the world. His partner of nearly 15 years, Hayley Wright, along with family and friends, are devastated by the loss. A GoFundMe page set up by Hayley has raised over $8,000 to help with funeral and medical costs.
Tony was not only a stand-up comic preparing for a UK tour, but also a devoted dog lover known as a “dog listener.” He taught people how to better communicate with their pets and had plans to hold canine workshops across Europe.
Originally from England but living in Australia, Tony had spent the last four years on Hayley’s family farm in Beaufort. Fans and friends paid tribute to him online, remembering the laughter he brought to many. There are reports that Hayley may scatter his ashes in France to honor his memory.
