A woman who is dying has one last wish. The carer then pulls something out of his pocket that surprises everyone.

Some people find death scary, but I don’t. I see it as a natural and beautiful process. I’m also afraid of getting old and not being able to take care of myself.

To be completely dependent on someone else, unable to use the bathroom on your own, and unable to remember your children’s names. That’s not a way to live.

To spend her last days, Maria was living in a care facility. She also knew that her time on earth was almost up.

Maria had taught singing and piano all her life, and she missed being around music.

He or she was lucky that one of her former students worked at her assisted living facility in Austinburg, Ohio.

They knew each other well because she had been Joshua Woodard’s teacher since he was nine years old.

Maria’s first and last wish before she died was to hear the song “How great thou art.”

Of course Joshua was thrilled to grant Maria’s last wish.

He used the song lyrics on his phone to give a moving performance of Maria’s all-time favorite song.

Wow, that’s cute! It turns out Joshua has known Mary since he was nine years old.

“Mary used to teach voice and piano, and this assistant, Joshua Woodard, was one of her students when he was younger.” Hospice workers are very special people!

The touching moment was caught on film by Maria’s sister-in-law:

This whole clip is even more moving because Maria is no longer with us.

Please share this lovely video with all your Facebook friends to show your appreciation for the hard work of all the staff who take care of our elderly loved ones.
