A veteran Oklahoma state senator was caught on camera in a heated confrontation with a sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop that escalated into a “very verbal” exchange. Body camera footage obtained by Fox News Digital shows State Sen. Regina Goodwin, a Democrat from Tulsa, arguing with Tulsa County Sheriff’s Deputy Freddie Alaniz shortly after 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The incident, recorded by the deputy’s body-worn camera, began with a tense interaction after Goodwin was pulled over. Alaniz stated that he witnessed the senator failing to stop at two stop signs. “Ma’am, I’m not going to ask you again. Can I get your driver’s license, or can I take you to jail on running a stop sign?” Alaniz asked Goodwin shortly after pulling her over and repeatedly asking to see her license. “I’m not going to ask you again.
