DOGE To Examine Congress Members Who Became ‘Strangely Wealthy’

The world’s richest man wants answers about how members of Congress have become “strangely wealthy” despite their relatively modest government salaries.

At a Wisconsin town hall on Sunday, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, Starlink, and SpaceX, said his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team would investigate how some lawmakers accumulated generational wealth. He was responding to a question about potential money transfers from USAID to Rep. Maxine Waters, Sen. Adam Schiff, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
