Breaking News, Fatal accident, leaving 19 people dead on the outskirts of

A tragic multi-vehicle accident shook the Mexico-Querétaro Highway near Huehuetoca on November 20, when a speeding trailer lost control and triggered a deadly chain reaction. The trailer, en route to Mexico City, failed to brake in time just before reaching the Jorobas intersection. It slammed into a bank, then plowed into five cars and a pickup truck, finally skidding to a halt across all three north-south lanes. The highway was partially shut down, causing heavy traffic congestion in both directions.

Authorities suspect the trailer’s inability to stop may have been due to slick road conditions caused by rain earlier that day. The full cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Emergency teams rushed to the scene, treating multiple victims for minor injuries. Though no life-threatening injuries were immediately reported, several individuals were transported to hospitals for further evaluation as a precaution.

Just hours later, in a separate incident on the same highway at kilometer 95.5 near Soyaniquilpan de Juárez, a tanker trailer was involved in another crash, this time resulting in a significant fuel spill. The area was completely shut down while crews worked to contain the hazard and prevent additional damage.

Officials are urging all drivers to slow down and remain vigilant, especially during wet or unstable weather. These back-to-back incidents serve as a somber reminder of how quickly conditions can turn deadly on the road.WATCH MORE.
