Perla Alison, the ten-year-old girl who disappeared last week in the Santa Martha Acatitla neighborhood, has been found dead. Her body was discoveredTuesday evening in an abandoned lot near the Constitución de 1917 metro station, ending a four-day search that mobilized authorities and citizens across Mexico.

 

Perla left her family’s home on Friday to buy candy at a nearby store. When she failed to return, relatives alerted police, and an Amber Alert was issued nationwide.Volunteers canvassed streets, distributed flyers, and flooded social-media platforms with her photo in hopes of locating her safely.
