Michigan – July 27, 2025: A normal day at a Walmart turned violent when a man began stabbing shoppers and employees, injuring 11 people. Panic swept the store — until one man stepped in.
Derrick Perry, a licensed concealed carry holder, confronted the attacker with his firearm, issued clear commands, and held him at gunpoint until police arrived. No shots were fired, and no further injuries occurred after Perry intervened.
Witnesses and police credit Derrick with preventing even more bloodshed. “He didn’t hesitate,” one shopper said. “That man’s a hero.”
Officials say his quick action likely saved lives, sparking renewed debate on self-defense and gun rights across the country.
