DOUGHERTY COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – Eight people, including a newborn, were injured in a three-vehicle crash involving a Dougherty County EMS ambulance early Saturday morning. The crash happened around 7 a.m. at Pine Avenue and Monroe Street when the ambulance, carrying three EMS personnel and two patients, collided with a Ford pickup, causing a nearby Buick Encore to be hit. All nine people involved were taken to Phoebe Main with non-life-threatening injuries. Dougherty County EMS said safety protocols were followed. The crash remains under investigation.
