Americans are increasingly pessimistic about the country: 68% say things are going badly, driven by rising prices and household costs. The economy and cost of living are the top concerns for 47% of respondents, followed by worries about U.S. democracy. Majorities say Trump’s policies have worsened conditions, and many voters plan to use the midterms to oppose him.
