Grady Demond Wilson, beloved for playing Lamont Sanford on Sanford and Son, has died at 79. His son confirmed he passed away Friday at his Palm Springs home from cancer complications. Born in Georgia in 1946 and raised in New York, Wilson served in the Vietnam War before studying acting. Cast alongside Redd Foxx in 1972, he helped make the sitcom a classic. Later, Wilson turned to ministry, writing books and inspiring others worldwide audiences.
