The Queen of Rock’n Roll passed away peacefully at her residence in Küsnacht, Switzerland, after a lengthy illness. The news was confirmed on her official Facebook page.

Turner became famous for songs like Proud Mary and What’s Love Got To Do With It, as well as her energetic live shows. She stopped touring in 2008.
Throughout her 60-year career, the American-Swiss singer, originally named Anna Mae Bullock from Nutbush, Tennessee, achieved great success. She received eight Grammy Awards and was honored with stars on both the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the St Louis Walk of Fame.

Tina’s autobiography, I, Tina, inspired the 1993 movie What’s Love Got To Do With It, which portrayed her tumultuous relationship with Ike Turner. Angela Bassett’s portrayal of Tina earned her an Oscar nomination.

Turner, known as the Queen of Rock and Roll, married her longtime German partner, music executive Erwin Bach, in a civil ceremony in Switzerland in 2013. They have been living together in Switzerland since 1994.
The music star had been married once before to musician Ike from 1962 to 1978 before getting married again.

In her book published in 1986, the singer recounted a distressing story of mistreatment, which involved enduring a fractured nose while being married to Ike.

This is the last eerie picture of her, and she looks completely different from the stunning beauty she used to be.
Ike passed away in December 2007. Tina’s spokesperson stated, “Tina is aware of Ike’s recent passing. They haven’t been in touch for 35 years, and no additional statements will be given.”

In the past few years, she experienced poor health. She was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in 2016 and underwent a kidney transplant in 2017.
