When I was 20, I went on a date with a stunning girl who had long, dark black hair. We enjoyed dinner and a movie, and afterward, I drove her back to her apartment. We sat in my car, talking for hours, lost in conversation. About two hours in, a chill ran down my spine and goosebumps prickled my skin. I glanced over at her and was shocked to see her appearance had changed—her hair was now grey and her face was wrinkled with age.
Panicking, I jumped out of the car, my heart racing. She asked me what was wrong, and all I could stammer out was that she suddenly looked very old. To my surprise, she started laughing. As she did, her youthful features slowly returned.
She then explained that what I saw was her grandmother’s spirit, checking up on her to make sure she was safe.
