If you consider yourself a person even remotely interested in the comings and goings of A-list celebrities, you’ll be all too aware that J-Lo’s been put through the ringer recently as far as rumors and conjecture are concerned.
Not only has the 54-year-old’s most recent project – the This Is Me Now movie – been widely panned, but there’s also been all manner of speculation running rampant of late suggesting that her much-publicized marriage to Ben Affleck is seriously on the rocks.
Only last week did interest in the pair’s harmony (or perhaps lack of) hit fever pitch, with Affleck reportedly spotted without his wedding ring and wild reports even claiming that the actor’s ex, Jennifer Garner, was working to try and keep he and Lopez together.
In any case, there’s no shortage of stories about ‘Bennifer’ – as Lopez and Affleck’s first romance was dubbed back in the early 2000s – and none of them really point towards the notion that the current buzz is simply an attempt to get more traffic to news websites.
No, whether or not their marriage really is teetering on the edge of collapse is something likely only known by the two major players themselves (as well as those fortunate enough to be in their inner-circle), but the talk is hardly helped when one or the other – that’s Lopez or Affleck – appears in public without their respective other on their arm.
Lopez did just that last week, stepping out on the carpet for the premiere of Atlas. The star looked to be all smiles before the gathered cameras, but there were still those who took it upon themselves to nitpick at her appearance.
As if the On the Floor singer didn’t have enough to be worrying about just now, there were people online who took exception. Lopez donned a stylish black dress for the occasion, with her upper-half covered by a white bodice. And yes, she did have her wedding ring on her finger.
And yet certain internet commenters just couldn’t let things be, criticizing the singer for appearing skinner than ever.

“What happened to her?” wrote one person.
“Her face looks so odd. What happened? She seems to have aged 20 years,” said another.
A third added: “A bit skinny and stressed J. Lo here.”
“Another one bites the dust for JLo,” said a fourth.
A fifth opined: “The weight loss and that severe hairstyle makes her face quite harsh here.”
“Off topic. But Jlo must be on the OZemp juice. She’s never been that thin,” said another.

Interestingly, Lopez herself recently admitted to being the slimmest she’d ever been. As per the Daily Mail, she said: ’’I’m the thinnest I’ve ever been,” putting the transformation down to a movie that made her get into “fighting shape”.
