Another day, another example of Slow Joe Biden having trouble with basic words while trying to give a speech. That came way back in March of 2023, when President Brandon fought and lost yet another tough battle with his teleprompter.

That time, it was just too much for the crowd, which couldn’t contain itself and instead roared with laughter while Brandon battled the teleprompter and tried to get out a few words. In the speech, it sounds like Biden said “If they have to payout a hundred and fifty, thou, tie, hum, um…A hundred fifty-nine thousand… Billion… um, Dollars… Leb… Less!!”
Even the White House Briefing Room struggled a bit to come up with what Biden was trying to say there. Here’s that portion of the speech (in bold) with what he was saying right before and after it added for context.

Biden was saying, “This law also caps out-of-pocket drug costs for seniors on Medicare at a maximum of $2,000 a year, no matter what drug you have to take. Total.” Continuing, he said, “And a lot of you know we’re making real progress in my cancer initiative. Cancer drugs, though, can cost up to 10-, 12-, $14,000 a year. But you’re never going to have to pay — next year — more than $2,000 a year for all the drugs you consume.”

Continuing, Biden then went on to comment on inflation, saying, “Plus, if drug companies raise prices faster than inflation rises, they’ll have to pay Medicare back the difference. And guess what? It’s not only fair, it reduces the deficit when you do that.”

When even the propagandists can’t come up with a good excuse for what he was trying to say…that’s not a good sign. And what he launched into next, the government’s plan to get even more deeply involved in healthcare, wasn’t either.

Speaking on that, Brandon said, “Folks, we’re really giving Medicare the power to negotiate lower drug prices, just like the VA has done for years for veterans. Bringing down prescription drug cost doesn’t just save money for seniors and Medicare; it’s going to have a significant effect on the federal deficit. It’s going to lower the debt by $159 billion.”

Continuing, he got to the bit where he stumbled, and the audience laughed: “And you say, ‘Well, how can that be, Joe?’ Well, right now, the government — our tax dollars pay out through Medicare the help for the prescription drugs. If they have to pay out 150 thou- — 159 thou- — billion dollars let- — less for prescription drugs, then it reduces the deficit.” He added, “So, folks, it’s a win-win. It saves taxpayers money, it makes Medicare stronger, and it reduces government spending overall.”
