Actor Hailed as ‘Superman’ After Dying Saving Woman

Adam Turck, 35, a well-known Richmond stage actor, was fatally shot Saturday while protecting a woman during a violent dispute in Church Hill. He intervened to help, police say, when a 19-year-old man pulled a gun, shooting Turck before turning the weapon on himself.

Turck later died at the hospital. The woman and Turck’s dog were unharmed. Remembered as a hero, Turck’s final act was organ donation. His family urges people to honor him by “looking up.”
