A bus carrying Afghan migrants deported from Iran crashed and caught fire in Herat province, Afghanistan, killing all 75 people on board, including 17 children. The accident occurred on August 19 after the bus collided with a motorbike and a fuel-loaded car, which ignited and set the bus ablaze. The victims were among the 1.8 million Afghans recently forced out of Iran, part of a wider crackdown on undocumented migrants in Iran and Pakistan. Over 2.2 million Afghans have returned from both countries since early 2025. Poor road conditions and weak traffic enforcement have made such deadly accidents common in.watch below
