A Justice Department watchdog report revealed that former senior FBI official Charles McGonigal leaked details of planned arrests to an employee of the China Energy Fund Committee (CEFC), a Chinese conglomerate linked to the Biden family, undermining a federal investigation. McGonigal, who once led the FBI’s New York counterintelligence division, warned CEFC associates, including Patrick Ho and Ye Jianming, about the probe. Ho was later arrested on bribery and money laundering charges. Records show Hunter and James Biden received $4.8 million from CEFC-related entities between 2017 and 2018.
